All Welsh ponies cobs and their partbreds listed within this database have been submitted by their legal owners for the sole purpose of creating a database to help breeders and buyers buy stock with clarity on their PSSM & MIM status.

All animals listed within the pedigrees who do not have a PSSM or MIM status attached to their names have not been tested for PSSM & MIM to our knowledge. If you see an animal owned by you within this database and it has been tested, and you would like it adding - please use the contact form to contact us with your test results.

How to Read Results

n/n = Negative - does not carry any PSSM & MIM genes and will not develop symptoms.

n/P = Heterozygous - HIGH RISK of developing symptoms. Carries one copy of the gene and has a 50% chance of passing on the gene to offspring.

P/P = Homozygous - HIGHER RISK of developing symptoms. Carries two copies of the gene and will 100% always pass on one gene to offspring.
